Lazy Sunday

Milo and I are having a lazy Sunday -- morning visitors, then I got two short naps in with Milo in between nursing (ah, naps, how delectable), and last night I'm sure I got at least 5 hours of sleep, so I'm rarin' to go today -- what a great feeling a little extra sleep is!

Last night we had our very first real bath in the tub, and Milo was transfixed with wonder during the whole thing -- no fussing, but he couldn't quite bring himself to really relax. We'll do it again tonight, I think he'll come to enjoy them very much, and I loved it (I've been looking forward to sitting around in water with my baby for a long time -- this is as close as I'll get to the water birth I missed!)

Here is a super sweet photo of Milo with Grandpa. I sure wish someone would make a sling that would hold a baby in this position -- Milo loves being about to look out, and having his arms and hands free, and the problem with all slings seems to be how tight he gets in them, and how limited his vision is. Hmph, we're still working on it.

And a funny little photo of mama and Milo -- he's actually about to start hysterically crying, but had been smiling, so this photo captures the in-between moment perfectly...

And here he is, propped up on the couch, contemplating the wall of books to his right -- he's thinking: "holy sh*t, I'm going to have to read all of those??!!"

Adventures in new-babyland continue, to the delight of all!

love,

Sara and Milo
