Milo and friends

Timmy and Michael were in town with the boys (and their friends) and stopped by to meet Milo, who was a total champ (not a fuss in sight, meeting four brand new people!) I am totally frustrated that some great photos didn't turn out (my digital camera is of an old-enough vintage that there is a good 1-second shutter delay, and thus Milo -- who simply won't stop waving his arms, even when we ask nicely -- is often out of focus). Eli's friend Marlon got to hold Milo, and not one of the photos I took of the two of them were even remotely in focus, annoyingly enough.

All well with us, it was a perfect day on Monday -- we even had a completely successful 25 minutes or so in the new ring sling -- we danced around to Stevie Wonder (Songs in the Key of Life, second disc, in case you're wondering) and then he FELL ASLEEP! He woke up pretty annoyed while I was talking to my neighbors (even though I more or less kept dancing), but I think it was annoyance at waking up, not annoyance at being in the sling -- I can see my future as a sling-wearing mama (my god, just to be able to able open a bottle of water with both hands while holding Milo -- that will be so great!) We also tried to go to Whole Foods, but now I see I need to take the stroller (the carts are too small to hold the car seat, and I just don't think he could handle the Baby Bjorn while shopping) -- so back in the car we went, and off to Petaluma Market, where he held it together (mostly) during a brief shopping expedition. How nice!
